class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>El<strong> Barri G\u00f2tic<\/strong> \u00e9s un dels barris m\u00e9s emblem\u00e0tics de la ciutat Comtal.<\/p>\n<p>Els seus origens es remonten a <strong>l&#8217;\u00e8poca romana\u00a0<\/strong>quan Barcelona era coneguda com a <strong>&#8220;Barcino&#8221;<\/strong>, assentament <strong>rom\u00e0\u00a0<\/strong>del segle I a.C. Els romans vam constru\u00efr una <strong>ciutat fortificada\u00a0<\/strong>amb muralles i carrers regulars. Encara podem contemplar a cada rac\u00f3 del Barri G\u00f2tic els vestigis romans de l&#8217;\u00e8poca com, per exemple, el <strong>Temple d&#8217;August i gran part de la Muralla Romana<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Durant<strong> l&#8217;Edat Mitja<\/strong>, el nucli de la icutat de Barcelona s&#8217;expandeix i el Barri G\u00f2tic es converteix en centre pol\u00edtic, religi\u00f3s i comercial de la ciutat.<\/p>\n<p>Durant els segles XIV i XV <strong>l&#8217;arquitectura d&#8217;estil g\u00f2tic<\/strong> viu el seu moment de m\u00e0xim esplendor, d&#8217;aqu\u00ed el top\u00f2nim <strong>&#8220;Barri G\u00f2tic&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong>conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncia de l&#8217;abund\u00e0ncia d&#8217;edificacions constru\u00efdes amb aquest estil.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f3n exemples notables la <strong>Catedral de Barcelona i la Bas\u00edlica de Santa Maria del Mar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9s endavant, concretament durant els segles XVIII i XIX, el Barri G\u00f2tic va experimentar un per\u00edode de <strong>decad\u00e8ncia<\/strong> amb la construcci\u00f3 d&#8217;edificis m\u00e9s moderns que van ocultar l&#8217;arquitectura romana i medieval.<\/p>\n<p>No va ser fins el segle XX quan s&#8217;inicia la restauraci\u00f3 i conservaci\u00f3 de gran part dels edificis hist\u00f2rics de la
